While the organization had already embarked on a digital transformation journey, gaps in governance, structure, and strategy were creating inefficiencies. Teams operated in silos, with underutilized data products and fragmented tools, slowing innovation and decision-making.

At the same time, the absence of a cohesive long-term digital vision limited prioritization and stakeholder alignment.

With ambitions to adopt an AI-first approach and strengthen patient engagement, the company required a holistic framework to redefine its organizational setup, harmonize processes, and build a clear roadmap toward 2030.

Altera Consulting partnered closely with the pharmaceutical company to conduct a comprehensive transformation program combining an organizational audit with long-term strategy development.

We began by assessing the current state of the digital, data and IT organizations, mapping systems, processes, and team capabilities to identify inefficiencies and critical gaps.

Through executive interviews, strategic workshops, and stakeholder engagement, we co-created a future-ready organizational model with defined domains, roles, and governance.

In parallel, we designed a 2030 vision and a digital strategy roadmap for 2025–2030, detailing initiatives, required capabilities, and sequencing.

A full IT and data cartography was also developed, ensuring visibility of systems and assets to support informed decision-making.
